We're looking for our next set of ambassadors to be the voice of your favourite genre! You'll help shape the books we stock in our stores and share your love of reading with our community.
We need ambassadors across the following genres:
- Fantasy & Sci-Fi
- Romantasy
- Dark Romance
- Horror
- Crime & Thriller
- Young Adult
- LGBTQ+
- Historical Fiction
- Contemporary Fiction
What will we need from you?
On a monthly basis, we will need you to:
- Produce a written review of a book you have read and enjoyed
- Film a 1-2 minute video of you on camera talking through your review of a book you've read and enjoyed
- Create a growing curated list of book recommendations for your genre that can support our in-store teams and determine the books that are stocked on our shelves
- Moderate the group chat for your genre in our Ink & Ember Clubhouse Whatsapp community

How to apply:
There are 2 steps!
- Create a public Instagram reel or TikTok video as if you're already an Ink & Ember ambassador talking about why you love your genre and a book recommendation. You must tag @inkandemberbookseller on Instagram or @inkandemberstamford on TikTok as well as #InkedAmbassadors
- Fill out the form in the link below where you'll have the opportunity to tell us about yourself and why you're the perfect person for your genre

Applications without a public video will not be considered.
The application window isn't open for long! Please ensure your video is uploaded and your application is submitted by 30th September 2026. We'll review all applications and let you know if you've been successful by the end of October. While we won't be able to give individual feedback, we'll let you know if you've been unsuccessful too.

Do I need to have a large social media following to be successful?
Absolutely not!
Does my face have to be in my monthly review videos?
Yes! We want our ambassadors to be the face of your genre, so you'll need to be confident talking in front of a camera.
Do I need to read a lot of books each month to be successful?
No, not necessarily, but we do need you to be passionate about your genre and be aware of new releases. We all go through reading slumps, but as long as you can still give us comprehensive reviews of books you've read and loved, that shouldn't be a problem.
