This autumn we're throwing open the doors for an evening devoted to the horror that refuses to die. The classics that built the genre, the cult favourites that found their faithful followers, and the stories that still get under your skin long after the lights came up.

At the heart of it all: The Exorcist.

This September, Penguin release a stunning new collector's edition hardback of William Peter Blatty's masterpiece, marking 55 years since the novel first terrified the world. It's the first UK hardback in years, complete with an exclusive new foreword from Grady Hendrix. We'll be celebrating its return, and reminding everyone that long before the film cast its shadow, this was a book. And the book still bites.

Expect readings / conversation / recommendations, plenty of horror talk, make your own horror bookmarks, and a warm, candlelit welcome for longtime devotees and curious newcomers alike. No prior allegiance required. You'll leave with one anyway.
