The Bog Wife

Rumors persist that the Haddesleys possess an excessive connection to the bog, making it challenging for them to coexist with the world. They reside in seclusion in the Appalachians, practicing peculiar rituals and venerating the surrounding forest and mud. When Charles, the family's patriarch, reveals his impending death, his children unite to support him, only to discover their weakening ties unraveling and their beliefs shaken.
